Abstract Topics

Abstracts may be submitted on any topic relevant to Trenchless Technology including new installations, rehabilitation, replacement, inspection, and assessment of all underground utilities including water and wastewater, communications and energy.

Topics of particular interest include:

New and emerging technology

Developments in equipment and capabilities

Whole-of-project case studies

Underground space utilisation

Risk management

Issues specific to non-water/wastewater utilities

Pressure pipe rehabilitation

Presentations which include input from, clients, owners/utilities

Difficult environments

Solving Australia’s water crisis

Major projects and large diameter projects

Whole-of-regional approaches

New issues in design and engineering

Non-technical topics of interest include:

Industry skills shortage

Contracting strategies

Training

Projected capital works by utilities

Issues which cross a range of techniques and industries

Standards

Community consultation

Public image/reputation of the industry

Preference will be given to original material which has not previously been published or presented at a major international meeting. However, abstracts previously presented at local, regional or national meetings may be submitted.

The program committee reserves the right to reject unsuitable topics.
